How Does Kevin Foley Reward Safecom?
How incredibly counter productive is this state government of ours.
Kevin Foley our emergency service minister will be slashing 2 million
dollars from Safecom's Budget. The State Government is willing to waste
millions of dollars on frivolous projects at the drop of a hat.
However when opposition quizzed Mr. Foley how he justified
slashing 2 million dollars from an already critically understaffed & underfunded
organization that manages over 15,000 emergency service volunteers
he replied, "thats government mate, its tough decisions" .
However he made this "tough decision" on the back of
NO audit and NO evidence that it could be justified.
The sooner we can inject some common sense back into
the government the better.
